Bajaj Auto has claimed that it has surpassed market leader Royal Enfield in terms of volumes in the 350cc and 500 cc segment. In a month, 3000 units of Dominar have been been sold by Bajaj Auto this calendar year. Bajaj Auto hopes to raise the production of Dominar to 10,000 units a month in coming 6 months.
By the end of March, Baja Auto will cover 100 cities & towns as well; and currently has expanded its reach to 22 cities. Bajaj informed that once the volume surpasses 5,000-6,000 units a month it would start affecting the profit figures.
Royal Enfield sales are high as it has an estimated production capacity of 50,000 units a month, dominating almost entire 250-350 cc motorcycle segment in India till now.
Bajaj Auto Ltd is currently trading at Rs 2885, up by Rs 17.75 or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs 2867.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 2867.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2890 and Rs 2867.25 respectively.
So far 181622(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 82969.61 crore. The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 3122 on 09-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 2213.2 on 16-Mar-2016.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 2909 and Rs 2850 respectively. The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.3 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.02 % and 24.66 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
