Axis Bank Slides, Post Poor Q4 Results


As predicted by the market insiders, the stock of Axis Bank has slipped as much as 2% on Thursday on the BSE, mainly due to its disappointing Q4 results. As per the Q4 results declared by Axis Bank, its net profit dropped 43.13% to Rs 1225.10 crore, on 4.33% rise in total income, to Rs 14181.31 crore in Q4 March 2017 over Q4 March 2016.

The result was announced after market hours on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. The ratio of gross NPAs to gross advances stood at 5.04% as on March 31, 2017, vs 5.22% as on December 31, 2016, and 1.67% as on March 31, 2016.

The ratio of net NPAs to net advances stood at 2.11% as on March 31, 2017, vs 2.18% as on December 31, 2016; and 0.7% as on March 31, 2016.
