Delta Corp Plummets Below 6% On Reports Of Daman’s Merger With Gujarat

Delta Corp suffered losses on news of a possible merger of the union territory Daman & do with the state of Gujarat as reported in a national business daily. Market analysts believe that Prime Minister Narendra Modi might take a decision regarding the same when he visits the union territory on April 17.

Meanwhile, the shares of Delta Corp were trading at Rs 169, down by 6.73% on BSE at 14:31 IST. On the BSE, the stock hit a high of Rs 181.80 and a low of Rs 168.40 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 218.40 on 5 April 2017 & a 52-week low of Rs 76.80 on 6 May 2016.

Daman is close to Mumbai and Gujarat, so it has become a lucrative market to run the casino business for Delta Corp.
