Infosys Saw More People Leaving In FY17 Attrition Rate At 19%


India’s IT bellwether, Infosys’ attrition rate has increased on a YoY basis, as in FY17, a total of 37,915 people left the company, which is higher in comparison to the previous year. While for the year ended March 2017, the consolidated attrition rate from the company was at 19.2% as compared to 18.7% for the year ended March 2016.

Meanwhile 34,688 persons left Infy in FY16. The company's fact sheet showed that during the quarter 8,529 left as opposed to 8,373 in March 2016. In the third quarter of FY17 attrition from Infosys was pegged at 9,186.

However, in the last quarter of this financial year of FY17 the company added fewer number of people. While during this quarter the net addition of employees was 601, while in March 2016 it was 661. Infosys added upto 6,320 people in FY17 as compared to 17,857 in FY16.
