Udaipur Cement Works Spikes Over 10% Commences Commercial Production


Udaipur Cement Works is trading up in BSE as the cement plant has successfully completed its revival & rehabilitation scheme with the start of commercial production at its cement plant in Udaipur.

The stock opened at Rs 30 per share, touched a low at Rs 29.90 per share; and a high of Rs 34 per share. The stock has outperformed BSE Small-cap index on a yearly basis. Udaipur Cement Works Limited is principally engaged in the manufacturing of cement. The Company operates in the cementations materials business segment. The Company’s plant is located in Udaipur district, Rajasthan.

At 1:55 IST BSE Small-cap index was trading up nearly 173 points or 1.20% at 14607 levels. BSE Sensex was trading up by 230 points or 0.78% at 29850 levels. Udaipur Cement Works Ltd is currently trading at Rs 32.25, up by Rs 3.1 or 10.63% from its previous closing of Rs 29.15 on the BSE.

So far 2646503(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 860.52 crore. The BSE group 'XC' stock of face value Rs 4 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 29.7 on 31-Mar-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 10.5 on 04-Apr-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 29.7 and Rs 24.8 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.69 % and 24.31 % respectively. The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
