Engineers India Q4FY17 Standalone Net Profit Declines 15.3% Yoy


Engineers India Ltd. standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 442.9 crore, registering 46.7% yoy increase. This was primarily driven by increase in revenues from consultancy and engineering products segments by 21% yoy to Rs.350.8 crore.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 10.7% yoy to Rs. 54.9 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 404 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 12.4%. The margin contraction was primarily driven by substantial increase of 93% yoy in employee benefit expenses in Q4FY17 to Rs.270 crore

The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 65.9 crore, yoy decline of 15.2%. This was due to increase finance costs to Rs. 3 crore vs Rs.0.13 crore in Q4FY16.

Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue slided by 4% to reach Rs.1448.64 crore while EBITDA rose by 53% to 302.31 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs.325.03 crore, up 18% yoy. The company recommended dividend of Rs.0.50 per share for FV of Rs.5 each.
