To Arrest Volatility BSE Revises Circuit Limit Of Videocon Industries


Bombay Stock Exchange has revised the circuit limit of five shares of companies in order to reduce high volatility during the trade.

Videocon Industries saw a huge erosion in its share price in the last week, falling over 50% in 5 trading sessions. BSE has revised the earlier circuit limit of 10% to 5%, the exchange said in a notice.

The new circuit limit was changed on May 26 and will be effective on May 29, which will ensure any the share prices will not erode beyond the prescribed limit.

Along with Videocon Industries, the circuit limit of MBL Infrastructure, Visagar Polytex, Trend Electronics and Shri Krishna Prasadam has been revised to 10%. In order to keep a check on high volatility in the scrip the filter, the mechanism is used by the BSE.
