Vedanta Drags BSE Metal In Red


BSE Metal index at 11196 is down by nearly 0.07% after it opened in green in the opening hours of the day.  Vedanta is the top loser in the index and is down by 1.79%. NMDC is down by 1.71%, Hindalco is down by 1.12%, Hindustan Zinc is down by 0.55% and Nalco is down by 0.15%. 

Sail is the top gainer in the index and is up by nearly 1.14%. Jindal Steel is up by 1.12%, JSW Steel is up by 0.88%, Tata Steel is up by 0.57% and Coal India is up by 0.52%. 

The copper prices tumble globally quoting at its 19 months low as the concern grow over the slowdown in China and the piling up of copper inventory. Largest demand comes from China for Copper.
