Century Plyboards (India) Announces CapEx Plan


Century Plyboards (India) is investing Rs 223 crore in FY18 and remaining Rs 60 crore in FY19. The company worked out about Rs 751 crore CapEx plan. Out of the planned CapEx, the company had already spent Rs 155 crore in FY166 and Rs 314 crore in FY17.

Century Plyboards (India) will utilise funds for its various expansion projects. The company's Medium Density Fibreboards (MDF) plant is in the final stage of completion and likely to commence production by July 2017. It has already invested Rs 380 crore in the project.

The company’s expansion of additional two lines in its laminates unit to be operational within current fiscal year. It is also investing Rs 64 crore in plywood project in Punjab, Rs 60 crore in particle board, Rs 62.50 crore in laminate unit, Rs 20 crore in Guwahati unit and Rs 16.65 crore in Gandhidham unit. Century Plyboards (India) also plans to set up a door unit at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore.

The share price of Century Plyboards (India) increased 1.32% at 0921 hours and is trading at Rs 303.65 in an intraday basis.
