Reliance Snaps 9-Day Winning Streak

Reliance Industries Limited snapped its nine-day’s winning streak during morning hours on Tuesday. Markets opened in the negative territory on the back of ITC’s steep downfall at the opening bell.

Sensex heavyweights, Reliance and ITC have been trading in the negative territory dragging the index. Reliance was trading at Rs 1,537 per share, down by 0.93%, while ITC was trading at Rs 287.2 per share, down by 11.7%.

Meanwhile, Nifty was trading at 9,874 level, down by 41 points, while Sensex was trading at 31,879 level, down by 194 points. There were 42 advances and 9 declines in the Nifty50 index showing positive sentiments in the other stocks except for heavyweights like Reliance and ITC.

Reliance crossed Rs 5 lakh crore in market capitalisation to become the most valued company on the bourses in Monday’s trading session.
