Tata Chem Gets Nod From CPCB To Resume Ops At Haldia Plant

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has permitted Tata Chemicals to resume their operations at Haldia Plant, informed Tata Chem in a BSE filing on Friday.

“CPCB has revoked their earlier order and permitted the company to resume the operations at Haldia plant,” said Tata Chem.

Earlier on March 14, 2017, the company had informed about the order issued by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) under Section 5 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986 to shut down plant operations at Haldia, West Bengal.

“Accordingly, the plant operations at Haldia will resume from today,” the company added.

Tata Chemicals was trading at Rs 650.75, up by Rs 6.05 or 0.94% as at 1153 hours on Friday, on the BSE. The stock had hit an intraday high of Rs 653.10.
