Ways2Capital Reviews : Royal Enfield Launches Limited Edition “Pegasus” Motorcycle in India at Rs2.49lakh

Eicher Motors Limited (EML) owned Royal Enfield (RE) launched the “Classic 500 Pegasus” motorcycle in India at a price tag of Rs2.49lakh.

This will be a limited edition motorcycle with only 1,000 units being built of which only 250 will be for sale in India.

The “Pegasus” is inspired by the RE/WD 125 Flying Flea motorcycle built during World War II. It will be available in “Service Brown” colour in India. The engine specifications for “Pegasus” are similar to the Classic 500. It boasts of features such as unique serial number stencilled on the tank, similar to military motorcycles, military-style canvas panniers, Pegasus motif on tank and panniers.

As per the company, RE is the oldest continuous running motorcycle brand in the world. It used to provide vehicles and ammunition during both World Wars and used to manufacture components and rifle parts since as early as the 1800s.

Eicher Motors Ltd ended at Rs30,239.35 down by Rs253.6 or 0.83% from its previous closing of Rs30,492.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs30,146.25 and touched a high and low of Rs30,969.05 and Rs30,000 respectively. A total of 27,584 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs82,451.52cr.
